Description
1. The Warner Robins Air Logistics Center is hosting an Industry Day on 13-14 May 08, to solicit feedback from interested industry representatives regarding an initiative by the 568 ACSS to acquire F-15 C/D Electrical Power Distribution System (EPDS) replacement kits. This will be a build-to-print acquisition (access to drawings will be supplied to respondents ). Our acquisition strategy is a three-year delivery contract beginning in FY09 to deliver a total of 75 ship-sets of kits to support installation FY13-FY15. Delivery rate will be approximately 25 per year. In addition, the contract will require at least one kit of the ship sets as a pre-production kit for trial install before production begins. This effort comprises about 95% of the aircraft wiring cable assemblies, relay/distribution panels, and Circuit Breaker (CB) panels and includes the following on average per aircraft but will vary by aircraft configuration: •· Approximately 240+ cable assemblies with about 24 miles of wire and 1350+ connectors. •· Approximately 14 Relay Panels (about 180 relays) •· Approximately 5 other power distribution/control panels •· Approximately 5 major CB panels (over 400 CBs) •· Misc. installation items (clamps, brackets, splices, wire, etc) •· Routing and Installation Drawings (RIDS)(reproduction only) •· Kitting, packaging, shipping 2. Your company has been identified through our market research activities as a potential business interest in this unique marketplace. We welcome collaboration with industry to critically review our requirements and discuss mutual issues and concerns relative to our technical requirements and acquisition strategy approach. On the morning of the first day we will convene an open session for a general project overview and discussion on issues and concerns. Beginning that afternoon and if necessary continuing into the next morning we will schedule one-on-one sessions with each vendor interested in discussing specific issues and concerns relative to their company's interests. These sessions will last 20 minutes and each vendor will be allowed 10 minutes of discussion time for company presentations and/or questions to the government. The remainder of the discussion time will be allotted to the government team (if necessary) to pose questions to the vendor. These closed door sessions will be scheduled on a first come-first-served basis and there is no limitation on the number of attendees from each company during these one-on-one sessions. 3. If your company is interested in participating in the subject Industry Day, please contact Reggie Jenkins, (478)926-6364, reggie.jenkins@robins.af.mil for detailed information on the Industry Day Venue and associated information regarding base access, parking, and local area information or to schedule a one-on-one session with the government team. Due to the expected level of interest in the program, we are limiting company participation to two (2) representatives each.
