Note: see attachment to view this combined synopsis/solicitation in its entirety. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number HSCG80-08-Q-3FAH38 is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). HSCG80-08-Q-3FAH38 and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-24. This requirement is being solicited as a Total Small Business Set-aside using Simplified Acquisition Procedures per FAR Subpart 13. The Small Business Size Standard for NAICS Code 336611 is 1000 employees. A Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order for the base items is anticipated. The anticipated award date is on or about May 2, 2008. Work covered by this solicitation shall be completed within twelve (12) calendar days from the date the vessel becomes available to the contractor. The availability is scheduled to start on or about May 12, 2008 and end on or about May 23, 2008. The Place of Performance will be at the USCGC Confidence home moorings located at 9235 Grouper Road, Cape Canaveral, Florida 32920-4402. The government intends to award from this solicitation to the responsible vendor whose quote conforming to the solicitation provides the best value. DESCRIPTION OF WORK (a) The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, material, equipment and such other things as are necessary, except as otherwise specified, to perform dockside repairs and alterations to the vessel, in accordance with this solicitation and attached USCGC CONFIDENCE (WMEC 619) 210 Foot A Class Medium Endurance Cutter Specifications for Dockside Repairs 2008 (March 31, 2008/Rev 0). (b) Failure to read the specifications in their entirety will not relieve the quoter from the responsibility for properly estimating the difficulty or price of successfully performing the work. Failure to do so will be at the quoter’s risk. Each quoter shall furnish the information required by the solicitation. PRICING DATA: Base and Option Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) are identified. Provide unit prices for all CLINs listed in unless Not Separately Priced is printed.
