- Description
- The VA Medical Center in Coatesville, Pa. seeks to provide local specialty consultation services for Gasteroenterology Services for beneficiaries of the VA Medical Center in Coatesville, PA. The purpose of this contract is to provide for the availability of specialty services for Coatesville VA Medical Center patients, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am until 4:30 pm, and provider telephone consultation available 7 days a week/24 hours a day. It will be the responsibility of the specialist to ensure coverage is uninterrupted. The gastroenterologist is required to provide an algorithm for any radiology or lab testing required prior to the scheduling of the various diagnostic procedures. The algorithm will be submitted to the Coatesville VA Medical Center medical staff for review and acceptance at the time of bidding for this contract. Services may include the following: Major Small & Large Bowel Procedures W CC; Malignancy of Hepatobiliary Systems or Pancreas, Hernia Procedures Except Inguinal & Femoral, W CC; Appendectomy W/O Complicated Principal Diag W CC; Appendectomy W/O Complicated Principal Diag W/O CC; G.I. Hemorrage W CC; G.I. Hemorrage W/O CC; Complicated Peptic Ulcer; Uncomplicated Peptic Ulcer W/O CC; G.I. Obstruction W CC; Esophagi is, Gastroent & Mis Digest Disorders, W CC; Other digestive System diagnoses, W CC; Initial inpatient consult, physician telephone consultation, Colonoscopy; Endoscopy. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all amendments. Interested parties are required to submit prices and clear and convincing data sustaining their qualifications to satisfy this service. Solicitations will be available for download from the Internet o/a May 2, 2008. Proposals are due not later than May 16, 2008 by 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time at the VA Medical Center (542/90C), 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Building 19 North, Coatesville, PA 19320.
