- This is a Request for Information; a contract is not anticipated from this RFI. This Request for Information does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quote (RFQ), nor does this issuance restrict the Government’s acquisition approach. All information contained in the RFI is preliminary as well as subject to modification and is in no way binding on the Government. FAR clause 52.215-3, Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997), is incorporated by reference into this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. DISCLAIMER This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. The Government is interested in receiving public comment on the proposed requirement described below to determine if sufficient information is included below to allow a vendor to provide a complete proposal that meets the needs of the Government. The Government is seeking vendors that can provide the following: 1. Two Fractional Ablative Dermatological Laser Systems using Erbium: YAG laser technology, to include the laser systems, cards, hand pieces and tip starter kits. 2. Functional Characteristics - The system shall be capable of treatment of fine superficial (e.g., epidermal nevi) or deeper papular tumors (e.g. sebaceous gland hyperplasia) on the skin for fractional ablative medical procedures. The system shall be capable of resurfacing and/or rejuvenation as well as special fractionating for the treatment of acne scars, scaring, and other cosmetic applications. 3. Vendor shall provide documentation to prove that their proposed system has FDA 510(K) clearance for a fractional ablative laser system. The system and all of the components, shall be compliant with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements to market and deliver medical products for use in the United States of America, even should delivery be requested outside of the United States. The claims made for the product shall comply with the regulations of the FDA with respect to products for marketing and delivery of a medical product for use in the United States of America, even should delivery be requested outside of the United States. 4. If your company has the following on a Federal Supply Schedule please provide the Schedule number: Two Fractional Ablative Dermatological Laser Systems using Erbium: YAG laser technology, to include the laser system, cards, hand pieces and tip starter kits. Estimated pricing is also requested. If additional specifications such as: size, weight, speed, accuracy, electrical power, ergonomics, safety features are necessary for your company to submit a complete proposal, please indicate possible specifications you would consider important in evaluating the required technology.
