- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12.6, using simplified acquisition procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and A SEPERATE WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/). The RFQ number is N00244-08-T-0321. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-24 and DFARS Change Notice 20080331. It is the contractors responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.acqnet.gov/far and http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/dfars/index.htm. The NAICS code is 33! 2721 and the Small Business Standard is 500 employees. This is a sole source action with S & S Tool and Machine Co., Louisville, KY the OEM of the Barrel Erosion gages. The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center San Diego Seal Beach Division has a requirement for the following: CLIN 0001 100 Each, Barrel Erosion Gages, P/N OPN 7274725 in accordance with the engineering drawings specifications (to be provided as separate cover). All markings are to be laser etched or if using another process, it requires approval by NSWC Corona Division prior to marking gages. A ring gage will be provided to verify gages as they are fabricated. Delivery to Corona, CA. FOB Destination. The following provisions apply: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items, Addendum to FAR 52.212-1, Paragraph (b) (5) Offers shall provide an express warranty which at a minimum shall be the same warranty terms, including offers of extended warranties, offered to the general public. Express w! arranties shall be included in the contract; 52.212-5 Facsimile Proposals; Offerors are required to complete and include a copy of the following provisions with their proposals: FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications Commercial Items. DFAR 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration, applies to all solicitations issued on or after 7/11/05; Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror/quoter ineligible for award. Provide copies of applicable commercially published price lists pertaining to your companys products that meet the specifications, along with applicable government discounts. In addition, quoters shall complete an electronic Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). ORCA can be found at http://orca.bpn.gov. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to co! mpete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
