Description
Verbenone anti-aggregating pheromone, various ship-to Forest Service office locations in Montana, Idaho, Utah and South Dakota. This is a combined synopsis solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation AG-0281-S-08-0024 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-24. The clauses and provisions referenced in this solicitation can be found in full text form at http://www.arnet.gov/far. The North American Industry Classification Code is 325320 Pesticide and Other Agricultural Chemical Manufacturing. A quotation is requested for one (1) line item. LINE ITEM 1: 49,719 each verbenone anti-aggregating pheromone packets, with partial quantities making up the total to be shipped to 18 different locations in Idaho, Montana, Utah and South Dakota. Locations, quantities, and Required Delivery Dates are as follows: 4,000 (ea) to Butte, MT by 05/15/08; 200 (ea) to Orofino, ID by 06/23/08; 41 (ea) to Camp Crook, SD by 06/04/08; 100 (ea) to Kalispell, MT by 05/09/08; 1,561 (ea) to Bozeman, MT by 06/02/08; 9,620 (ea) to Helena, MT by 05/02/08; 454 (ea) to Trout Creek, MT by 05/07/08; 920 (ea) + 7,000 (ea) to Missoula, MT by 05/07/08; 5,100 (ea) to Coeur d’Alene, ID by 05/16/08; 53 (ea) + 360 (ea) to Great Falls,MT by 05/09/08; 17,370 (ea) to Ogden, UT by 05/07/08; 1,440 (ea) to Lowman, ID by 05/12/08; 600 (ea) to Driggs, ID by 05/12/08; 100 (ea) to Boise, ID by 05/07/08; 500 (ea) to Ketchum, ID by 05/12/08; 300 (ea) to Fairfield, ID by 05/12/08. Points of Contact will be provided to contractor at time of award. Successful Offeror is required to provide proof of a valid and current product registration for their company with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Inspection will be made at the delivery points and will consist of random sampling of the product(s) for conformance with specifications and quantity count. Offer will specify how materials will be packaged for deliveries. Required deliveries to be made on or before dates at each location as stated above. FAR 52.211-16, Variation in Quantity (APR 1984) applies to this solicitation and any resulting contract. (a) A variation in the quantity of any item called for by this contract will not be accepted unless the variation has been caused by conditions of loading, shipping or packing, or allowances in the manufacturing processes, and then only to the extent, if any, specified in paragraph (b) (below) of this clause. (b) The permissible variation in quantity shall be limited to: 1 percent increase, 1 percent decrease, and applies to total contract quantity. All deliveries shall be made on regular workdays (Monday through Friday) during regular business hours (7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. local time), excluding official Federal Government holidays. Contractor shall notify the Government Points of Contact for each location at phone numbers specified at time of award, a minimum of 24 hours prior to delivery. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial, applies to this acquisition. One contract will be offered to the best value offer made to the Government, considering availability, technical specifications and price. Offers shall be based on U.S. dollars only. Offerors will include in their solicitation response a completed copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items. The clauses 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition.
