Description
The solicitation for this project will be posted to FedBizOpps on or about May 1, 2008 with responses due on May 22,2008. The work is general in nature and associated with, but not limited to, Buck and Pole Configuration, Five Wire Hi-Tensile Rock-Jack/Figure-Four/Steel-Post/Tree-Tie Configuration, Barbed Wire- Rock-Jack/Figure-Four/ Steel-Post/Tree-Tie Configuration, Let Down Fence Under Tension, and the High Tensile/Woven Wire Game Fence. Deviations and additional specifications will be identified in individual Task Orders and are attached as Fence Specifications and Drawings. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary labor, subsistence, supervision, transportation, equipment, and tools (except those designated as Government-furnished), and incidentals necessary to perform the Statement of Work/Specifications. The Contractor is advised to have a power saw, axe, digging tools, and fencing tools. The Contractor shall be held responsible for cleaning any campsites that are used. Camp sites will be part of final acceptance along with any old fencing material needs to be removed from the site. The solicitation will result in a multiple award, Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantities type contract spanning 3 years. The actual number of awards will be dependent on offers received and the best value analysis process with the intent to have a sufficient number of awardees to provide a pool for competition of task orders. The Government anticipates awarding Items 1 and 2 initially. Task orders thereafter will be competed among the awarded contractors over the duration of the contract, in accordance with the Fair Opportunity Clause of the awarded contract(s). If a contractor is awarded multiple task orders work shall be completed concurrently unless otherwise specified in a task order. Item #1 and #2 are located on the Wallowa Valley Ranger District in the Joseph and Enterprise, Oregon area. Item #1 is a Let Down Under Tension Fence and Item #2 is a Rock-Jack Figure-four/steel post/tree-tie configuration conventional 4-line barbed wire fence. Estimated start work date for both Items will be June 20, 2008.
