Description
This requirement is to provide Obstetric/Gynecology Services for Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC), Fort Gordon, GA, which will be performed at the contractors facility. The contractor shall equip, operate, provide professional and ancillary support services, and maintain an obstetrical labor, delivery and newborn nursery facility in accordance with Federal Laws and the State of Georgia Laws. The contractor shall furnish supervisory, professional, administrative, custodial and technical personnel to accomplish all work required, and shall provide 24-hour consultation by a board certified or board eligible obstetric physician. The services shall be of a quality to meet or exceed current recognized standards as established by the American Medical Association (AMA), the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the American Hospital Association (AHA). The contractor shall have full ante partum, obstetrical labor, delivery and newborn nursery capabilities in the event that DDEAMC staff is not available. The contractor shall have been in operation for not less than two years prior to award of this contract. The contractor shall operate and maintain facilities on a 24 hour a-day, 7 days a week basis duringthe term of the contract. The contractor must be able to credential government providers to perform patient care services on military beneficiaries. Additionally, the contractor must allow residents and medical students to participate in patient care intheir facility under the supervision of a privileged government provider caring for military beneficiaries. Performance Period shall be effective 1 October 2008 through 30 September 2009 (Base Year). Pursuant to the provisions of FAR 52.217-0008 and 52.217-0009, four (4) annual option periods with an additional option to extend services (NTE 6 months), will be available under the proposed contract. The NAICS code is 622110 ($31.5M).
