- NAICS Code: 333314 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) in Washington, DC intends to award a Purchase Order to Leica Microsystems, Inc., of Bannockburn, IL, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures. The purpose of this purchase order is to acquire a Leica TCS SP5 spectral confocal system microscope. Details regarding the technical specifications for this requirement are posted at: http://www.epa.gov/oamhpod1/admin_placement/leica/index.htm. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333314. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. It has been determined that Leica Microsystems, Inc. is uniquely qualified to satisfy the Government's requirement as they are the only company to produce a microscope which meets the required technical specifications/details. Under this Purchase Order, the vendor shall provide one (1) Leica TCS SP5 Spectral Confocal System Microscope, in accordance with the technical specifications provided. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement, as stated herein, may submit their corporate capabilities, which if received by the response date of this announcement may be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing and submitted to Nicole Humphrey, Contract Specialist at humphrey.nicole@epa.gov by 1:00PM EDT, April 15, 2008. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
