Description
This is a modification to the synopsis entitled BOATS-LOGISTICS-STATUS INFORMATIONwhich was posted on November 27, 2007. You are notified that the following changes aremade: the original synopsis is updated to request additional information on contracttype.To ensure the appropriate contract type is used, the Government is taking a second lookat using a Cost-Plus-Award-Fee arrangement for this acquisition. To ensure the appropriate contract type is used, the Government is taking a second lookat using a Cost-Plus-Award-Fee (CPAF) arrangement for this acquisition. Therefore, theGovernment is soliciting additional input regarding the type of contract to be used forthis acquisition. Other contract types for consideration include both Fixed-Price and Cost-Reimbursementcontracts, such as FFP, FPI, FPAF, CPFF, and CPIF. Please include information regardingwhy a particular contract type might be more appropriate (benefits and impediments), howthat proposed contract type would affect costs and how you would propose. Please also address possible incentives / standards for any or all of the following:technical, cost, and schedule performance; risk mitigation; employee and asset safety andsecurity; innovative best practices; quality of service to users; responsiveness tochanging requirements and budget; and identifying opportunities for technical andadministrative improvement.There are no page limitations for this information. NO PROPOSAL IS REQUESTED AT THIS TIME. The solicitation and any documents (including periodic status, responses to questions,and updated Interested Parties list) related to this procurement will be available overthe Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application.
