Description
Responses to vendor inquiry: 10. The fixture constructed of corrosive resistant metal or coated with a corrosive resistant coating / finish due to weather, water, or humidity. Q. Is Powder coated mild steel acceptable to meet th is requirement? A. Powder Coating is acceptable. 11. Vendor must certify fixture in accordance with accepted industry load bearing standards. Q. Is there any particular certification that needs to be met or is this just st ating that the fixture will be up to industry standards? A. Weight of the heaviest trailer is 11 ton. Fixture must be certified to carry that weight. Simply stating the fixture is up to industry standards is not enough. Note 2: Final plan / drawing must be approved by the customer prior to award of the contract. Q. Should these plans/drawings be submitted to you, and would you like hard copies or electronic, PDF's. Could these be reviewed with the customer for feedback? <BR > A. Electronic PDF is acceptable. The drawings are to be submitted with your proposal to the Contracting Officer by the response date/time. Shop Drawings will be approved prior to Award. Once the contract is awarded and fixture delivered, the Final Drawing will go to the customer. Note 3: Fixture must be complete, delivered and set up within 60 days following the award of contract. Q. 60 days is an extremely short period of time to complete the scope of work called for in this solicitation. Who will be responsible to decide if this time frame has been met, and what are the consequences if it is not met. Is it possible that this Note could be ammended? If so who would make that decision? A. The time period will be ext ended to delivered/setup 120 days from date of contract award. The contracting officer with input from RSMS will make the determination. Q. Is there a way to fill out and submit provision FAR 52.212-3 electronically? I found it and printed it out, but just wondered if there was a way to submit it by E-mail. A. It may be updated yearly at https://orca.bpn.gov/ Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) Q. Would the signature be accepted if it was on an E-mailed PDF? A. Yes NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (31-MAR-2008); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
