Description
This modification is to revise the ***Empty bucket and associated rigging not to weigh more than 175 pounds**** All else remains the same Helicopter Wild Land Firefighting Water Bucket for Bell 412 helicopter The bucket shall be fabric to allow collapsing for storage and between use positioning on the ground under the aircraft tail boom. Capacity shall be not more than 350 gallons of water and not less than 240 gallons. Electrical connection to the aircraft shall include ability to suspend the bucket 100 feet below the aircraft (electrical only, no suspension rigging for 100 feet is specified). The bucket shall include capability to connect the bucket and its associated control cables directly to the cargo hook. Suspension rigging that is integral to the bucket shall be long enough to allow the bucket to be positioned either forward or aft of the main fuselage and remain connected to the cargo hook. Bucket operation shall allow for multiple drop operation Bucket operation control shall include the ability to automatically control the amount of water picked up from the dip tank by cockpit control input. Bucket operation shall include the ability to manually control the amount of water picked up from the dip tank by opening the bucket from the cockpit to drain out water. Bucket control shall include the ability to automatically and manually select a variable delivery amount and flow of water. Bucket control shall include automatic and manual emergency release of all water at the greatest release rate, or greater, of the bucket in normal operation. All automatic cockpit control of bucket operation shall be from a single control device. All manual cockpit control of bucket operation shall be from a single control device.
