Description
Program Manager Training Systems (PMTRASYS) intends to award a sole source contract to the Lockheed Martin Corporation DBA LMSTS 12506 Lake Underhill Rd MP 813, Orlando FL 32825 for the Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) intended for procurement of Advanced Gunnery Training Systems (AGTS) and mobility kits. This effort is follow-on to the USMC Advanced Gunnery Training System (AGTS) contract N61339-00-D0707. The anticipated contract will be a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract with an approximate value of $5.5M. Initial award will be for a period beginning June 2008 with final delivery due six (6) months after contract award. Lockheed Martin will provide two mobility kits (2), ten (10) M1A1 Deployable AGTS, forty-five (45) Desktop AGTS (10 Desktop AGTS will be USMC LAV-25 variants and 35 Desktop AGTS will be USMC M1A1 variants) at eight Marine Corps locations and make provisions for any future sites. The devices are proprietary to Lockheed Martin Simulation and Training Systems (LMSTS) and shall be compatible with current AGTS devices during combined training efforts up to Company level training. The Advanced Gunnery Training System (AGTS) is a state-of-the-art simulator designed by Lockheed Martin to train individuals, crews and platoons in the skills of precision gunnery. AGTS trains to a level of proficiency that permits rapid transition to live fire or combat gunnery. The system provides training on procedures, basic skills, crew coordination and crew drills. Section and platoon members practice target recognition, fire control and distribution while being engaged by targets. This is not a request for proposals or a guarantee of forthcoming solicitation. It should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. government to issue a solicitation. Any information provided to the Government in response to this RFI will become USMC property and will not be returned. Only one source is responsible and no other sup plies or services will satisfy the requirement.
