- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta GA, VISN 7, contemplates negotiation of a sole source procurement with Hologic Inc, 35 Crosby Dr, Bedford MA 01730, for preventive maintenance on a Hologic Bone Densitometry System located at the VA Medical Center, 1670 Clairmont Rd, Decatur GA. The period of performance for this procurement will be April 1, 2008 through September 30, 2008, with four one-year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 811219 with a size standard of $6.5 million. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all proposals received within 3 days after publication of this synopsis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their products/services meet VA requirements, to the Contracting Officer by fax 478-274-5588. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Solicitation will be issued on or about March 19, 2008.
