Description

Notice of availability of a Request for Bid on March 7, 2008 in which the National Park Service (NPS) is seeking a resource partner/tenant to lease the Elisha Jones House located within the Minute Man National Historical Park at 242 Monument Street, Concord, Massachusetts, for residential occupancy. The Elisha Jones House is an early 18th century colonial structure, rebuilt/altered ca. 1865. The property includes house, driveway and yard. The term of the lease is at least one year, with a maximum term of up to three years. Occupancy to begin on or about July 1, 2008. Tenant is responsible for payment of utilities, insurance, lawn mowing, and snow removal (see lease). The lessee will be required to pay fair market value rent to the NPS. The current rent is $32,211.00 annually. The Request for Bid, including the draft lease, explains the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the lease. The solicitation, selection and award of the lease will be conducted pursuant to 36 CFR Part 18. All interested persons or their real estate brokers must contact Ms. Diana Shiba, park Management Analyst, 174 Liberty Street, Concord, MA 01742; telephone (978) 318-7819 to view the offered property and obtain a copy of the solicitation. Sealed bids are due to the following address: Superintendent, Minute Man National Historical Park, Bid on Lease of NPS Elisha Jones House, 174 Liberty Street, Concord, MA 01742, no later than 2:30pm on April 24, 2008. A public bid opening will be held at the same address on April 25, 2008 at 11:00 am.
