Description
Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division has entered into a Basic Ordering Agreement with BAE Systems Australia Limited, Defence Systems Division, East Avenue Salisbury Australia for a maximum ceiling amount of $45,000,000.00. The BOA covers a three-year period with two one-year options. The effective date of the BOA is 8 March 2005. This BOA supports the following efforts: Research and Development engineering and logistics support services, test and evaluation, maintenance and repair, purchase of test equipment, purchase of parts and spare parts, Ordnance Alterations (ORDALTs), safety and security services, software and data in accordance with Contract Data Requirements List. All support will be in accordance with a Statement of Work. The job orders issued against this BOA will be primarily for the support and advancement of the NULKA Electronic Decoy Cartridge and launch system that is currently deployed on US, Australian, and Canadian ships. Procure ments under the BOA will be conducted on a sole-source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This synopsis is for the class of orders that may be issued by NSWC Crane under the BOA for a one-year period. Individual job orders issued by NSWC Crane will specify required tasks and all applicable delivery terms and conditions. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
