- This is notice that Naval Special Warfare Group One, San Diego CA intents to award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price contract to AM General, LLC 105 Niles Ave South Bend, IN 46617 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) implemented by FAR 6.302-1 for HMMWV Battle Damage Assessment and Repair (BDAR) Course. This notice is not a request for offers. The contractor identified is the only known source for the subject requirement. Responses to this notice will be used to determine if bona fide competition exists. Any such responses must be in writing and include technical and pricing information. The Government will not pay for any information submitted. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement action, based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Numbered Note 22. All responses must be received no later than 2:30 PM PST March 14, 2008. No extensions will be granted. Description: Battle Damage Assessment and Repair (BDAR) Course of instruction will cover Advanced Mobility HMMWV operations, Mechanical Troubleshooting and Battlefield Damage Assessment and Repair Techniques. AM General instructors will cover multiple critical systems that are not covered in Field Manuals (FM?s), and Training Manuals (TM?s); GMV?s systems calibration, troubleshooting with special tools and diagnostics equipment. This course of instruction will designate instructors and primary drivers with the ability to conduct and teach BDAR and HMMWV in emergency field conditions. Class No. OMB-28031 Period of Performance: Mar 30- Apr 4, 2008, May 2008, June 2008, August 2008, September 2008. (Dates to be determined) Number of students: 12 students per course. Number of courses: 5.
