- Solicitation Number NCNT0000-8-32065 is issued as a request for quotation in accordance with the format in FAR 13. This solicitation is set aside exclusively for small business concerns. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 334519. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Ocean Service, specifically the Requirements and Development Division has a requirement for "brand name or equal" Nortek Internal Processor with the following specifications for (1) internal real-time wave and current processor and associated data processing and display software: 1. Physical - Configuration: integrated inside a Nortek 1 MHz AWAC wave and current instrument (Government furnished). Data outputs: user selectable processed wave and current parameters including Hs, Tp, peak direction, mean period, mean direction, H10, Hmax, Tmax, wave height time series, energy density spectrum, directional spectrum, spreading spectrum, full directional spectrum, and velocity profile data sets in ASCII or Binary. Software: software package for processor configuration setup, programming for "turn-key" system integration, processing of raw AWAC data, and display of real-time output data; 2. Environmental - Operating temperature: -5 deg. C to +35 deg. C, Storage temperature: -10 deg. C to +40 deg. C; 3. Power - Input: external DC at 12-18 V; 4. Electronics - Connection: 8 pin underwater connector Communication: 9600 baud, bound to modem speed. Delivery of product shall be by no later than March 28, 2008. This requirement also includes an option to purchase one (1) additional "brand name or equal" Nortek Internal Processor that meets the specifications above at the same or better price with delivery prior to December 31, 2008. Note: Delivery of Offerors proposing to furnish an "equal" product shall insert the following description for the product:
