Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ACQUISITION WILL BE MADE UNDER THE SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION THRESHOLD OF $100,000.00. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written RFQ will not be issued. The SIC code for this acquisition is 8742. This procurement is 100% Small Business set-aside and is open to all responsible small business sources. The following is a list of solicitation description of the required service: The USGS has a requirement for planning and facilitation services to expedite the planning, facilitation, follow-up, and report of findings for a series of regional conferences for stakeholders for the Cooperative Water Program. Project Description: The USGS requires assistance from the facilitator in developing a meeting plan, agenda, facility logistics, invitations and announcements, registration, facilitation, meeting follow-up actions, and a summary of findings from the meetins to be posted on the Interstate Council on Water Policy (ICWP) web site. Experience: The USGS requires an organization that specializes and has experience on interstate planning and management of water resources at the national level. Period of Performance: February 2008 - December 2008 Vendors who can meet the requirement above, including experience, are asked to submit a statement of capabilities on March 10, 2008 to the CO at vfloyd@usgs.gov. No phone calls will be taken at this time. All quotes will be due on March 10, 2008
