Description

SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT DESC.: Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, it is the Government's intent to award a sole source to Agilent Technologies, Inc. PO Box 4026 Englewood, CO 80155-4026 for the purchase of 8 Whol e Human Genome Microarray Kits (4x44K, 60mer  5, 1x3 slides per kit, 4 microarrays per slide). The Agilent microarray platform is being used to compare results with past experiments utilizing identical microarray platforms. Using a different microarra y platform would confound data analysis. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be award ed on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
