Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/MARKET RESEARCH The Army Contracting Agency (ACA), Northern Region, Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Fort Lewis, Washington is currently conducting preliminary planning market research to determine the existence of viable commercial sources capable of providing complete services for Intra-city and Intra-area moves for Military Service Members, Department of Defense (DoD) Civilian Employees, and DoD Families located at U.S. Army Garrison Fort Lewis and McChord Air Force Base, WA. The anticipated period of performance is 1 October 2008 and 30 September 2009 plus 4 one-year Option Periods. Through the use of the Market Research Questionnaire, our office seeks the following information from industry: the identi fication of interested parties within designated socioeconomic groups, approximate cost, business size and amount of start up time required prior to 1 October 2008. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for P roposals (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB) or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Responses to this RFI shall not serve as proposals, bids, or offers, which could be accepted by the Government to form a bindi ng contract. ACA, DOC will not accept unsolicited proposals related to the subject of this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked - Proprietary - will be handled accordingly. The responder must clearly identify any informat ion it considers sensitive or proprietary. Responses to this RFI will not be returned. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated and incurred by responding to this RFI. The Government reserves the right to determine how it should pro ceed as a result of this notice. Responses to the Market Research Questionnaire are encouraged from all interested parties. Responses should include the name and telephone number of a point of contact having authority and knowledge to discuss res ponses with Government representatives. You are advised that providing responses to the questions will not automatically include you in the acquisition process for this solicitation.
