- Description
- Based on the successful completion of a Comprehensive Review in accordance with FAR Part 35.017, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to exercise the option to extend the term of the contract under Contract No. TIRNO-99-D-00005. This contract is with The MITRE Corporation for the management and operation of the Center for Enterprise Modernization (CEM), a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC). The FFRDC provides expert technical advice and enterprise systems engineering for the modernization of systems and associated business processes for the IRS, Treasury and its Bureaus, and other non-sponsors. The IRS also acknowledges the co-sponsorship of CEM by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The contract is an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) task ordering contract. The option period is 10/01/08 - 09/30/13. The estimated value of the option is $417,194,553.
