- Description
- This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures (Reference FAR Parts 12 and 13). THIS IS A SYNOPSIS AS REQUIRED BY FAR PART 5.2. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). VENDORS SHOULD NOT SUBMIT FORMAL PROPOSALS UNTIL THE RFP IS POSTED TO THIS WEBSITE. 45 CONS/LGCB has a requirement for a 25 ton HVAC system complete with matching air handler and condenser, cooling 300,000 BTU/s, no heat, air handler with filters mixing box, consisting of outside dampers, return air dampers and a 2 in. filter to supply a constant 1800 CFM of outside air. Must have double wall construction to protect the 1.5 lbs. PSF density of insulation between the walls with 2in. filters before the return air dampers. DDC controller for variable air volume control between air handler and condensing unit. Cooling coil to have copper tube and aluminum fins with stainless steel coil casings and drain pan. Noise and vibration isolated supply fan and motor, condenser shall have suction service valves and electrical disconnect switch (non-fused) and DDC variable volume control, complete corrosion protection coating on condenser coils, 2 to 5 year compressor warranty, voltage for air handler and condensing unit to be 208/230 volts, 3 phase, 60 HZ. Must have separate motorized actuators on outside air and return dampers; quantity: 1 each. The requested delivery to Patrick Air Force Base, Florida will be approximately thirty (30) days after receipt of an award. The government intends to make a single award to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. Solicitation No. FA2521-08-T-0104 is issued as a Request for Proposal. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 3585, business size of 750 employees and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 333415. The non-manufacturer rule applies to this requirement since the manufacturer for the referenced NAICS code is a large business. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 26 February 2008 at www.fbo.gov. Proposals may be submitted via hard copy, fax (321-494-5136), or e-mail. NO HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON. Anticipated award date will be on or about 3 March 2008.
