Description

The Biochemical Services Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to issue a solicitation for an firm fixed price commercial item requirement for Revision of Bulk Powder Sampling Standard in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The Request for Quotations (RFQ) will be issued on or about February 19, 2008 via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The RFQ number will be SB1341-08-RQ-0060. Hard copies of the RFQ will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FedBizOpps web site for release of the RFQ and all subsequent amendments. The North American Industrial Classification Code is 813920 with a size standard of $6.5M. The scope of work includes providing support for revision of ASTM E2458, Standard Practices for Bulk Sample Collection and Swab Sample Collection of Visible Powders Suspected of Being Biological Agents from Nonporous Surfaces.
