Description: The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East, Cherry Point, NC intends to procure modification of F402 Vanes by applying a surface enhancement treatment called Low Plasticity Burnishing (LPB) to the vane trailing edge, inboard platform area. The LPB process is defined by Surface Enhancement Technologies (SET) LLC drawing (3AV35) S000041. This process includes cleaning, burnishing, and glass bead peening of the vane.
