Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District is seeking contractors to make repairs to the Draft Tube Piers located at the Garrison Power Plant, Riverdale, ND. This work will consist of concrete spall repair of the draft tube piers. There are 20 piers which have approximately one (1) cubic foot each of concrete to be patched. These patches vary in depth and range in size from 20 to 60 square feet each. Depending on the tail water elevation, the bottom portion of these patches may be under wa ter. Contractor may have to construct and attach a cofferdam around the draft tube pier, pumping the water out, attaching a concrete form to the pier, filling the void with an epoxy type concrete to reestablish the draft tube pier to its original shape an d condition. It will be a requirement of the contract that the work be performed during the periods from March 1 through April 15, and/or September 15 through October 31, while the dam is releasing low amounts of water. Work will also require outages of the power generators on either side of the piers being worked on, so close coordination and scheduling with Water Management Section will be necessary. The estimated value of this project if between the price ranges of $100,000 and $300,000. Contractors interested in this project must demonstrate their capability to perform this type of repairs under these conditions. Contractors are requested to provide references of similar projects completed in and around water. This requirement will be advertised under North American Industrial Classification Systems (NAICS) Code 238110. Please ensure this NAICS code is incorporated in your current CCR profile at www.ccr.gov. Failure to have this NAICS code current may result in not being considered for award.
