Description

The Government hereby changes the NAICS code for the CTS Program from 517410 Satellite Telecommunications, to 334220 Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing. In accordance with the Code of Fed eral Regulations (CFR) ? 121.402(b), The procuring agency contracting officer, or authorized representative, designates the proper NAICS code and size standard&selecting the NAICS code which best describes the principal purpose of the product or service b eing acquired. The CFR further states: A procurement is usually classified according to the component which accounts for the greatest percentage of contract value. The Government has determined that the greatest percentage of the CTS Pr ogram will be for supplies, which must be classified under the appropriate manufacturing NAICS code; thus, the need for the change in the NAICS code to 334220. All contractors who have submitted responses to the CTS Questionnaire are requested to submit revised responses to Questions number 2-4 by COB 22 February 2008. If the change in NAICS code has created interest in the program with a company that has not already responded to the CTS Questionnaire, it is requested that the company co mplete and submit the CTS Questionnaire no later than 29 February 2008. The DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS) and CTS Questionnaire was posted on the IBOP. The IBOP is accessible at https://abop.monmouth.army.mil. The Government will accept comments from industry. All information and comments to the Draft PWS/Questionnaire are to be submitted to the Contracting Officer, Ms. Evonne Heyward, via electronic mail to Evonne.heyward@us.army.mil and the Contracting Specialist, via electronic mail to Christi ne.callanan@us.army.mil. This Request for Information is for informational purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure any items/services, or for the Government to pay for the information received.
