- The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) is soliciting quotes to provide all labor, material, tools, and equipment necessary to remove old and install new nickel-cadmium, type SBH 88-2 (name brand SAFT or equal) from two (2) existing Cummins 350kw 208v KTA-1150-g emergency generators (Item 1) and remove old and install one new (1) set of nickel-cadmium batteries SAFT type SBH-1237-2 or equal from a Caterpillar 3408 480v 350kw emergency generator (Item 2) as further defined in the specifications. All services shall be performed at the Jesse Brown VAMC, Chicago IL. To the best of our knowledge, the existing SAFT batteries are the type recommended by the manufacturer however, if a Contractor can provide an ???or equal product??? as approved the manufacturer, the ???or equal??? product will be evaluated. Offeror shall include additional information on a brand name or equal product, as further defined in the SOW. NAICS: 333611 and 811310. Size Standard is $6.5 M. This procurement is unrestricted. No telephone calls will be accepted. All responsible sources that can meet the requirements are encouraged to participate. Specifications are available free on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Any amendments to this solicitation will also be available at the URL addresses. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. Any information submitted by an offeror for consideration will not be returned and will remain the property of the GLAC. All costs associated with submitting the above are the responsibility of the Contractor and all information provided must be to the Contracting Officer by the response due date and time. A signed/completed copy of the attached RFQ can be submitted electronically to the Contracting Officer at diane.brazale@va.gov as described in the RFQ.
