Description
The scope of work is concentrated primarily on elevator and boiler repair/alterations and new installations and secondarily on all aspects of architect/engineering services for building repair/alterations, expansions and new construction for the whole states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and the zip code area 865 in Arizona. The United States Postal Service shall be seeking to award one or more contracts for architect/engineering services that will be for six years (2 year base award with two 2 year options), with individual work orders being issued. Each work order will be negotiated as an individual project but will not exceed $250,000. The total amount of work ordered over the five year period may not exceed $5,000,000.00 or be less than $5,000.00. Firms which possess the qualifications to perform the services described below are invited to submit four (4) copies completed SF 330 form Architect Engineer Qualifications for itself and for each of its proposed consultants to the office shown above no later than March 14, 2008. The selection will be conducted by using the submitted SF 330 form. Interested firms with more than one office must indicate on their SF 330 the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be performed. Consideration will be given to firms responding to this advertisement in accordance with the instructions in the following order of preference. 1. Local: within the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Architectural Engineering firms will be considered as local if their sole office is in the local geographical area or have a local branch office and all the architectural and engineering design, coordination and management of the project will be performed in that office. Criteria to be used in selection of firms for interview will be 1) Architect Engineering firm to have been in business a minimum of five years and managed the design and construction of at least five elevator renovations or new installations in the last five years. 1a) Architect Engineering firm must submit a synopsis of a minimum of five projects on a separate attachment with the following information: Location of project; project name; detailed project description; project completion date; contracted cost of project; final cost of project; name of general contractor and project manager including office and cell phone numbers; 2) Elevator consultant firm having a minimum of five years experience and is to be included as part of the Architect Engineering team. 2a) Elevator consultant firm must submit a minimum of ten elevator projects that they have worked on in the last five years with same information and format as in Item 2. 3) Mechanical engineer consulting firm with a minimum of five years experience and worked on ten boiler projects in the last five years. 3a) Mechanical engineering consulting firm must submit a minimum of ten boiler projects that they have worked on in the last five years with the same information and format as in Item 2. 4) Each discipline is to have a minimum of one licensed professional who is licensed in each of the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. 5) Architecture is the primary function of the submitting office. 6) Past experience in repair and alteration work. 7) Firms ability to manage multiple repair and alteration projects at one time. 8) Possess AutoCAD 2000 or higher.
