These efforts will require working with the Constellation Ground Operations Project Office (LX), the Constellation Program, other Project Offices, other NASA centers, and other contractor organizations. NASA/KSC contemplates award of a single cost-plus-fixed fee contract, with a 2-year base period of performance and three 1-year option periods, for a total potential period of performance of 5 years (including a 1 month Phase in period). In addition, a separate Contract Line Item will be included for Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery Firm-Fixed-Price task orders (as required). The anticipated contract performance start date is October 1, 2008. For informational purposes, the estimated value of this effort over the entire performance period is $70M. Note: The NASA FAR Supplement clause 1852.209-71 entitled ?Limitation of Future Contracting? clause will be included in the RFP and resulting contract (which has restrictions in respect to working on current or future related contracts such as Constellation Ground Processing). NASA/KSC plans to issue a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) (NNK08223161L) to seek industry input for the KLXS solicitation by providing the opportunity for interest parties to submit questions and comments. Prospective offerors are invited to submit comments on ALL aspects of the draft RFP. NOTE: The anticipated release date of the DRFP is on or about February 22, 2008.
