Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), Quantico, VA, is issuing this Synopsis of a requirement for Mine Roller Systems (MRS). MCSC anticipates awarding a five (5) year Firm-Fixed Priced Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a minimum ordering quantity of 100 and maximum ordering quantity of 1,000. MCSC anticipates release of the Request For Proposal (RFP) within 60 days from release of this synopsis with proposals due 45 days thereafter. The MRS will be readily mounted to wheeled vehicles in order to initiate mines and Victim Operated Improvised Explosive Devices (VOIED?s) before the vehicle passes over the explosive device. The MRS must be able to integrate with the Marine Corps Light Armored Vehicle (LAV), the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR), the Joint Explosive Ordnance Disposal Rapid Response Vehicle (JERRV), and the High Mobility Multi-Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) through a pre-existing interface bracket; the Technical Drawing Pa ckage (TDP) for this interface bracket will be provided upon request. Attached to this synopsis is a DRAFT Statement of Work and a DRAFT Performance Specification. The Government reserves the right to modify the DRAFT documents prior to release of the RFP. These DRAFT documents are being provided to industry to allow for open communication between the Government and industry to encourage receipt of the best proposed solution to the requirement. The Government is not responsible for any cost incurred by industry in responding to this notice.
