- 1. ACA Northern Region, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Lewis, Washington is soliciting for a contractor to provide the materials, equipment, and labor necessary to provide exclusive use, aerial wildland fire suppression support at Yakima Training Center (YTC), Yakima, WA. The Invitation for Bids (IFB) number is W911S8-08-B-0002. 2. The solicitation will result in the award of a single contract. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed-price contract with 1) daily rate which will be c harged for each day of the contract period, 2) airborne response time and materials which will be charged only for flying time, and 3) extended standby labor which will be only used if extended standby is requested by the Government. The anticipated perio d of performance is as follows: 15 May through 30 September 2008 (Base Period) 15 May through 30 September 2009 (Option Period 1) 15 May through 30 September 2010 (Option Period 2) 3. This procurement is Restricted and is set aside for small business. The applicable NAICS code is 481212 (Nonscheduled Chartered Freight Air Transportation) and the small business size standard is 1,500 employees. 4. When issued, the solicitation will be available via the FedBizOpps website, http:/ /www.fbo.gov/ and the solicitation will also be posted on the Fort Lewis Directorate of Contracting website, http://www.lewis.army.mil/doc/, under Solicitations. Telephonic requests for the solicitation will not be honored. The tentative solicitation iss ue date is 15 February 2008 and the anticipated closing date is 1 March 2008. Interested offerors are advised to consult the actual solicitation for final dates and times. 5. Offers from all capable and responsible sources will be considered. F irms offering a response to this notice should ensure they are registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database, http://www.ccr.gov/ and ensure the applicable NAICS code 481212 is included in the CCR profile prior to submission of offers for cons ideration. 6.
