Description
CANCELLATION NOTICE: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 001. and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-20. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 331222 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. This requirement is unrestricted and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2008-01-24 12:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com. FOB Destination shall be San Diego, CA 92154 The DHS-Customs and Border Protection requires the following items, Purchase Description Determined by Line Item, to the following: LI 001, (Please review Q&A) Q1. What is the configuration of the top of the existing fence? A1.Some of the fencing is straight, 7700 linear feet + or - Some of the fencing has a 45 degree angle at the top. Q2. What is the terrain like on either side of the fence? A2. The south side of the fence has an all-weather patrol road. This road is raised 3 to 4 feet. The north side of the fence has an unimproved maintenance road. This road is at grade with base of the fence. Q3. Is the fence line accessible for a pickup on both sides? A3. Yes. Q4. Are there any required wage rates we have to pay? A4. The wage rate (Davis Bacon Act) is required for this requirement. Q5. Is the entire 23,760 lf ready now? A5. No 7700 linear feet + or & is ready. ----------------------------- Installation of 3 Coils of 36-Inch Supermaze Concertina Wire to existing 2nd Fence. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision to perform the following: Supply and Install approximately 23,760 linear feet of 3 coils of 36-inch Supermaze (concertina wire) on top of existing 2nd fence. SEE ATTACHMENTS FOR FURTHER DETAILS on www.Fedbid.com.---- In order to be considered sellers must document extended specification of what they are quoting for buyer to review., 1, lot; For this solicitation, DHS-Customs and Border Protection intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. DHS-Customs and Border Protection is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, completed, real-time bids. All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. There is no cost to register, review procurement data or make a bid on www.FedBid.com. Offerors that are not currently registered to use www.FedBid.com should proceed to www.FedBid.com to complete their free registration.
