Description

This a combined sysnopsis/solicitation for commercial item supplies prepared in accordance with the format specified in FAR 12.603. In order to facilitate receipt of electronic quotes, RFQ 08SQ301105 will be issued concurrently with this announcement. The requirement is being solicited under full and open competition. The NAICS for this action is 333911 and the size standard is 500 employees. The Bureau of Reclamation's Hoover Dam has an urgent requirement for the furnishing of one (1) High pressure pumping unit, for boosting, liquid transfer and circulation, under a high static pressure. The existing pump is a Grundfos BM 17 - 30 N, Product No. 12DJ3630. Vendors must provide the same pump (Grundos BM 17 - 30N, Product No. 12DJ3630 or an equal pump that meets the following salient characteristics: 1. Inlet pressure from 6-inch line shall be 80-psi to the pump; 2. The pump shall boost the pressure, at the outlet, to a minimum of 430-psi; 3. Submersible pump with motor built into a stainless steel sleeve in a totally sealed construction; 4. Have external mounted electrical junction box for 460VAC, 3-phase power; 5. Liquid: Potable Water - Maximum liquid temperature: 100 ?F; 6. Technical: Rated flow: 88.06 US gpm - Rated head: 1150 ft - Curve tolerance: ISO 9906 Annex A; 7. Materials: Pump: Stainless steel 1.4401 DIN W.-Nr.316 AISI -- Impeller: Stainless steel 1.4401 DIN W.-Nr.316 AISI -- Motor: Stainless steel 1.4539 DIN W.-Nr.904 L AISI -- Sleeve: Stainless steel 1.4401 DIN W.-Nr.316 AISI -- Rubber: NBR; 8. Installation: Maximum inlet pressure: 725 psi -- Maximum outlet pressure: 1160 psi -- Flange standard: PJE -- Pipe connection: 89 mm; and 9. Electrical data: Rated power - P2: 35 HP -- Main frequency: 60 Hz -- Rated voltage: 3 x 440-480 V -- Start method: direct-on-line -- Service factor: 1.15 -- Rated current: 57,5-54,5 A -- Enclosure class (IEC 34-5): IP58. Offerors providing an equal product other than the brand name product specified above, must provide sufficient descriptive literature of the proposed equal product to allow the Government to determine if the product is in fact an equal product and will meet requirements stated above. Offers not submitting this information will be considered non-responsive and not considered for award. Delivery shall be made to the Hoover Dam Warehouse, Monday thru Thursday between 7:00am and 4:30pm PDT within 90 days of receipt of award. Pump shall be packed/crated in a manor that will ensure no damage is incurred during the shipping. This will be a best value procurement and quotes will be evaluated on delivery time (those delivering earlier than the specified timeframe will receive at higher rating) and price with both being of equal value. Quotes, all descriptive literature to support other than brand name specified, and complete representations and certifications (hard copy or completed at www.orca.gov) are due no later than close of business on January 30, 2008. Vendors must a current/valid registered on the Central Contractor Registration to be eligible to receive award.
