- Description
- The Coast Guard is seeking information whether potential sources exist to provide a used marine propeller shaft that can be reconditionerd and modified to be serviceable for an existing Coast Guard cutter. The shaft should be made of MIL-S-23284. After reconditioning it should be not less than 7.625 inches in diameter and not less than 23 feet in length. The used shaft need not have a flange since the existing arrangement employs a hydraulic coupling. Request contact from all interested parties as soon as possible, but not later than close of business Tuesday, 21 JAN 2008.
