- The purpose of this modification is to provide answers to questions. 1. Q. We understand the critical need to complete on going efforts for the Army and the need for this bridge contract. Since we have significant experience doing Strategic Co mmunication in support of other Defense Agencies we are interested in knowing if there will be a full and open competition for any follow on services after this bridge effort is completed? A. Yes. A competitive follow-on Request for Proposal (RFP) is scheduled to be released the week of 14 January 2008. A notice will be placed on FedBizOps. 2. Q. Regarding the requirement listed below, is there any opportunity for a portion of it to go Small Business and more specifically for it to go Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business? Also, are you accepting capabilities statements from small businesses? A. Capability statements may be submitted by any vendor and must be received by 15 Jan 08, 9:00 am. This sole sourc e notice is for one vendor only. However, a competitive follow-on Request for Proposal (RFP) is scheduled to be released the week of 14 January 2008. 3. Q. In the notice, it states that awarded a sole source contract to L-3 Communications/MP RI, for procurement of Strategic Communication Support Services, as a bridge contract. Can you please provide details on the bridge contract, i.e. contract number, award date and award amount. A. A contract number and award amount are not e stablished yet. The projected award date is on/about 28 January 2008. 4. Q. Can you please tell me the contract and RFP number for the original solicitation that this bridge for? A. Contract number W74V8H-05-C-0040, RFP number W 74V8H-05-R-0034 5. Q. As a result of the Sources Sought Notice has a decision been made on a procurement strategy? If so, When could a follow up announcement be made on a procurement strategy on FedBizOpps? A. The first part of this question is procurement sensitive and will not be answered. A competitive follow-on Request for Proposal (RFP) is scheduled to be released the week of 14 January 2008. A notice will be placed on FedBizOps. 6. Q. How long has L-3 Communi cations/MPRI held this contract? A. Sixty-six months. Contractors former name was L-3 Communications/Sycoleman. 7. Q. Approximately what is the value of the contract? A. $25,074,711.70 8. Q. Will this contract be put up for competitive bid at the end of the bridge contract? If so, will it be F&O or set aside? A Yes. A competitive follow-on Request for Proposal (RFP) is scheduled to be released the week of 14 January 2008. A notice will b e placed on FedBizOps. The second part of this question is procurement sensitive and will not be answered. No additional questions will be accepted.
