- Description
- The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with the SEA Ltd for the requirement of measurement data as described in scope of work on approximately 100 model year 2009 light vehicles including cars, pickups, sports utility vehicles (SUV), and vans. The make/models designated for testing will, for the most part, be the same ones that NHTSA selects for the 2009 NCAP crash test program. The agency plans to use measurement data obtained from this effort to provide consumers with comparative information on the rollover resistance of new vehicles and support services required. This announcement is for information purposes only.This notice of intent is not a request for proposals nor will a solicitation document be available. The anticipated award date is 5/04/2008. The NAICS code is 541380. Any responses to this synopsis must be received by the listed procuring office within 15 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. A determination not to continue with this acquisition based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. In the absence of responses from interested firms demonstrating their capability, NHTSA intends to award a firm fixed price contract to S.E.A . Inc on a non-competitive basis.
