Description
The CECOM Life Cycle Management Command Acquisition Center intends to award a new work modification to contract W15P7T-02-C-L421 on a non-competitive basis in support of the Multi-Mission Radar (MMR). The anticipated award will be made under the Auth ority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, to Syracuse Research Corporation (SRC), North Syracuse, NY. The Multi-Mission Radar Advanced Technology Objective (MMR-ATO) is a unique radar system where only one system exists wi thin the Department of Defense. The prime contractor, SRC, has designed, fabricated, tested and demonstrated the system from its inception. Only SRC, the source that is developing the MMR, can accomplish the required upgrades without substantial duplicat ion of costs and delivery delays. Any other source would need to reverse engineer the MMR to understand its design, followed by production and testing efforts before it could commence implementation of the required upgrades. The additional effort is expect ed to have a period of performance of approximately 9 months. A tracking number W15P7T-08-R-P417 has been assigned to this effort and should be reference along with contract number W15P7T-02-C-L421. TECHNICAL questions should be addressed to Mr. Steven Wag ner; email steven.wagner@us.army.mil, (732) 532-4095. CONTRACTUAL questions should be addressed to Mr. Andrew Dellomo, Contracting Officer, email; Andrew.dellomo@us.army.mil; 732-532-3569 or Ms. Meghan Mele, Contract Specialist, email; Meghan.mele@us.army. mil, 732-532-8299.
