- Description
- The purpose of this Amendment is to provide a complete and revised answer to a previous question submitted. The question and answer are as follows: Question 1. Could you provide clarification as to which types of pest control licenses would be required for the work. Would mosquito larva and adult mosquitoes be included in this work? Specification says: 1 The Pest Control Functions shall include control of but not limited to birds, snakes, mice, ants, ticks, fleas, gnats, flies, chiggers, beetles, bees, termites, lady bugs, wasp, hornets and spiders as listed below: (a) Household Pest Control (b) Structural Pest Control (c) Stored Products Pest Control (d) Control of Pests of Medical Importance (e) Ornamental and Turf Pest Control (f) Miscellaneous Pest Control 1a. From the categories listed, it seems that it does require Maryland Department of Agriculture license category 3a 3b, 7a 7b, 7c. Mosquito management would add category 5 and 8. Answer 1. The Government would like mosquito larva and adult mosquito pest control services to be included within all of the proposals. 1a. The Government will require all interested parties to comply with all state and federal laws pertaining to mosquito control including Maryland Department of Agriculture license categories 3a 3c, 7a 7b, 7c and mosquito management category 8 will apply. It should be noted that license category 3c is required rather than 3b. 3c is for Turf and 3b is for interior plantscapes which are not appicable for this action. Also, Category 8 is required for mosquito control (Cat 5 was broken out and separated 2 years ago). Please take a minute to make sure that proposal submitted are complete. Regarding proposal submittals, please review the original Solicitation 132504 dated Dec. 4, 2007, under Description, paragraph four (4), where it states The Offeror is required to propose their best solution and submit a detailed cost proposal. Please submit copies of all technical and cost volumes associated with this proposal package separately. The technical volumes shall address Offerors approach to meeting requirements. **All responsible Offerors shall submit proposal electronically to Charles James at charles.james@usss.dhs.gov or via fax at (202) 406-6801, to be received NLT 12:00pm Friday January 11, 2008** If there are any questions regarding this Amendment, please contact Charles James via email at charles.james@usss.dhs.gov NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (07-JAN-2008); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
