Description
Comparability Market Survey, AN/PVS-5C Facemask Assembly *This is not a solicitation. This is only an estimate and will not bind the contractor or the Government in any way or at any time into a contract with any of the specified terms below. This is a market survey to locate potential sources of supply for the Single Battery Housing Assembly, NSN 5855-01-523-4058, drawing numbers A3297309 and QAPA3297309, or equivalent. The Single Battery Housing Assembly supports and protects the pow er supply for the AN/PVS-14 Monocular Night Vision Device. During operation, the AN/PVS-14 provides improved night vision using available light from the night sky. The AN/PVS-14 enables the user to perform normal tasks such as reading, walking, driving o n the ground, or surveillance during times of darkness. The U.S. Army is seeking to identify vendors with the capability to provide this item. The Single Battery Housing Assembly shall be provided within 120 days after contract award, at a rate of 1500 each per month. It is crucial that any interested sources identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement, by responding to this survey. Any interested sources must send the following information, NLT 18 January 2008, to CECOM LCMC IEW/S Directorate, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-IEW-N-II (Susan F. Weir), Bldg. 1201, Ft. Monmouth, NJ 07703 or e-mail to susan.weir@us.army.mil : " The contractor must provide a price estimate for hardware. " The contractor shall state that they can meet the above delivery requirement. If not, provide an estimate of his best delivery schedule. " The contractor shall state whether their part is considered a commercial or modified commercial equivalent of the single battery housing assembly; p/o AN /PVS-14. Does the contractor supply this part on a commercial basis? " The contractor shall provide an illustration/drawing of their proposed part. " The contractor must provide information to show that he possesses, or shall possess, adequate pro duction plant facilities (equipment, tooling, and space) to enable him, or his subcontractors, to produce this item. " Identification of the contractor as a Large or a Small Business. If a Small Business, please identify as an 8(a), HUBZone, Disadvant aged, Women-Owned, or non-disadvantaged. " Past Performance for these or similar items. The contractor shall submit their part numbers, NSN, or nomenclature and the date of the last manufacturing effort of the same or similar items for which they ha ve production experience.
