- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, VISN 6 Centralized Acquisition Service, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Philips Medical Systems. This proposed contract action is for providing Preventative Maintenance, Including Software Updates and Required Parts Including Glassware to Maintain and Repair the Philips Xcelera PACS System and Monoplane and Biplane Allura Cath Labs for the VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Durham, NC. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The proposed period of the contract will be for one (1) year. NAICS Code 811219 applies to this procurement. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within by 12:00 noon EST January 10, 2008. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. Responses are due by January 10, 2008 at 12:00 noon EST and can be sent to VA Medical Center - Hampton, ATTN: Timothy Vaughn (90C), 100 Emancipation Drive, Bldg. 27, Hampton, VA 23667 or email to Timothy.Vaughn1@med.va.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone or faxed inquiries will not be accepted. If no responses are received, the VA Medical Center will proceed with a sole source negotiation with Philips.
