Description
The 5th Contracting Squadron has a requirement for a maintenance agreement of a Vitek 2 Compact 30 with PC Computer at the Medical Treatment Facility at Minot AFB, ND. This maintenance agreement is to include all labor, tools, materials, facilities, and transportation for on-site full service, preventative maintenance, and repair of this equipment. This agreement shall include an unlimited number of on-demand service visits and telephone support calls around the clock. The contractor must have access to all factory original software and service manuals used to maintain, calibrate, upgrade, and troubleshoot the equipment. The 5th Contracting Squadron intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Service Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The 5th Contracting Squadron intends to enter into a firm, one-year, fixed-price Purchase Order with 4 option years with BioMerieux Vitek, Inc., 100 Roldolphe St., Durham, NC 27712-9402. The NAICS code for this procurement is 325413. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 7 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. Responses are due by January 2, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. CST. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
