- AMENDMENT #2 TO PR-NC-07-10851 IS ISSUED DECEMBER 19, 2007. THIS AMENDMENT IS ISSUED TO CORRECT THE PREVIOUS COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION WHICH INADVERTENTLY STATED AN INCORRECT WEBSITE ADDRESS. THE CORRECT WEBSITE ADDRESS TO OBTAIN SPECIFIC DETAILS OF THIS REQUIREMENT IS LOCATED AT: http://www.epa.gov/oam/rtp_cmd/ The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 61170--Educational Support Services and the small business size standard is $6.5M . The solicitation number is PR-NC-07-10851, and the solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). A firm, fixed-price purchase order is anticipated to result from the award of this solicitation. This solicitation is being procured as a small business set-aside. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), RTP, NC has a requirement for a Contractor to provide services to develop curriculum for middle schools using EPA's RadTown USA Website. Tasks under this procurement include: developing lesson plans and classroom activities for science plus two to four additional tested subject areas; pilot testing the curriculum with teachers to evaluate ease of implementation and overall effectiveness and modifying it, as appropriate, based on the pilot testing recommendations/results; and developing a final report summarizing the curriculum development process and recommendations for nationwide implementation of the radiation curriculum. Additionally, the radiation curriculum lesson plans and classroom activities must be able to be taught sequentially or independently of each other. This curriculum must meet current national education standards and be easily integrated across multiple subject areas. Specific details of this requirement will be outlined in the Request for Quotation (RFQ). The RFQ and related information is posted on EPA's website at the follo wing address: http://www.epa.gov/oar/rtp_cmd/. Please submit three copies of the technical proposal and price proposal. The Government will make an award to the responsible offer whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is most advantageous to the Government, cost and other factors considered. All offerors are to include with their offers a completed copy of provision 52.212-3, Offer or Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items. The completed Representations and Certifications should be included with the proposal.
