Description
The US Army is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) Sources Sought (SS) for Radars for Shadow 200 UAV Application. Solicitation Number: W15P7T-08-R-P410. NOTE: The use of a solicitation number in this RFI/SS is for tracking purposes only. This Request for Information is for planning purposes only; this is not a request for Quotations or Proposals. No solicitation document exists and formal solicitation may or may not be issued by the Government as a result of the responses to this RFI/SS. The Government will not be liable for payment of any response preparation expenses. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. All interested firms that possess the capabilities and facilities addressed herein are encouraged to respond to this RFI/SS to providing the information specified below, on or before 1700 hours on 01 February 2008. All information must be in writing or via e-mail. There is a 5MB e-mail limit. If you choose to submit proprietary information, mark it accordingly. Classified information will be accepted by mail only and must be marked accordingly and sent through proper channels. The government is seeking possible sources on radars for US Army Shadow 200 UAV Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) application. The requirements for the radar are as follows: 1) The total radar payload weight should be less than 65 lbs. Radars with minimal weight are preferable. 2) The radar should be capable of operating in SAR and GMTI modes.<BR > 3) The GMTI mode will detect vehicles, standard military target 5.15m x 1.75m x 1.86m (L x H x W), moving at the speed of 10-70kph to a range of 7km at 8000ft AGL altitude. The GMTI sensor will be capable of revisiting 345 degrees once every 30 sec onds and will be capable of selectable sector scans. 4) The SAR mode should have a wide area search mode of 1.0m resolution and a spot mode of 0.3m resolution to a range of 7km at 8000 ft AGL altitude. 5) The SAR sensor system should have a Target Location Error (TLE) which supports the air vehicles Target Location Accuracy (TLA) of less than 25m while at 7km standoff range. 6) The SAR/GMTI sensor system should maintain an operational availability (Ao) of 80%. 7) The SAR/GMTI s ensor system will provide near real-time imagery to the controlling station. The information submitted should contain no more than 20 pages and shall include at a minimum: 1) Technical description including picture of radar 2) Performan ce specifications 3) Sample radar products (i.e., Imagery and/or GMTI detection display) 4) Concept drawing of how the radar will fit into the Shadow 200 5) Current status of radar development 6) Cost estimate of production radar assuming 5 0 units with non-recurring and recurring costs broken out.
