- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) PMA-265 has a requirement to incorporate a Mission Planning Interface that is compatible with the Digital Memory Device into the F/A-18 E/F/G Aircraft. The Government intends to award sole source for an integrated hardware and software solution to McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of The Boeing Company, P.O. Box 516, St. Louis, MO 63166-0516, using authority FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. MDC is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and supplier of the F/A-18 Weapons System and only MDC has the F/A-18 peculiar engineering data, capability, resources, and expertise required to fulfill NAVAIR?s requirements. A determination not to compete this proposed effort based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
