Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New York District, intends to issue an solicitation for the award of a firm-fixed contract for an Inspection, Evaluation and Repair on a Lorain MCH 350D Crane Telescoping Hydraulic Boom for the Albany Field Office, Tr oy, NY. The project consists of all work associated with removing the boom sections from the USACEs Loraine MCH 350D cranes main hydraulic boom assembly; disassembling the boom sections and removing extension cylinders; inspecting, evaluating and provid ing a report of repair requirements (to include parts and labor). Option 1: Provided the evaluation report determines there is no damage to the major components of the two boom cylinders, the Government may exercise Option 1 to reassemble the boom, rep lacing all wear items and all seals included in the boom cylinder seal kit. Option 1 shall also include performance testing the reassembled boom upon completion. Option 2: Provided the evaluation report determines there is damage or failure to the boom c ylinder(s), the Government may exercise Option 2 to replace the cylinder(s) complete. Option 2 shall include all costs associated with replacing both cylinders complete, reassembling the boom, and performance testing upon completion. Option 2 shall also include disposal of the replaced components. The estimated cost is between $30,000,00 and $40,000,00. Required Completion Date(s): Evaluation Report): Evaluate and provide a report of repair requirements no later than 30 days after taking delivery of cr ane. Option 1: Complete all repairs associated with option 1 (replace wear items, seals and reassembly) no later than 60 days following award of Option 1. Option 2: Complete all work associated with Option 2 (replace two cylinders complete) no later than 150 days following award of Option 2. This project is being solicited as an UNRESTRICTED procurement. The applicable NAICS code is 333120 with a size standard of 750 .
