Description
The Western Area Power Administration (Western), Desert Southwest Region has identified the need for removal and trimming of a number of large trees (including some in excess of 40 inches in diameter and 70 feet in height) along electrical transmission line right-of-ways in order to provide adequate line clearance and access to the transmission line. The contractor will be required to perform tree trimming and felling functions as needed at any location along the Desert Southwest Regional Office???s transmission line rights-of-way. Area one State of Arizona transmission lines are located in Cochise, Coconino, Gila, La Paz, Maricopa, Mohave, Pima, Pinal, Yavapai, and Yuma counties. Area two State of California transmission lines are located in Imperial, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. Area Three State of Nevada transmission lines are located in Clark County. Solicitation DE-RQ65-08WG75865 will be issued as a Commercial Item Request for Quotation. A fixed price contract will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This procurement is 100% reserved for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 334210 and the business size standard is 1,000 employees. The offeror must provide its Contractor Establishment code (DUNS Number) and Tax Identification Number (TIN). The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor(s) whose offer is the most advantageous to the Government considering price and price-related factors: Technical Specification compliance, past performance, and price. Technical specification compliance and past performance are equal, and when taken together are significantly more important than price. At least three (3) references are required for past performance. The written proposals and the above, required, information must be received at this office on or before January 28, 2008 by 12:00PM Mountain Time.
