Description
Notice: ONLY LOCAL SOURCES LOCATED IN JAPAN WILL BE CONSIDERED UNDER THIS SOLICITATION. Local sources are those sources (e.g., corporations or partnerships) that are physically located in Japan and authorized to perform in Japan, the type of service work specified in this solicitation. Specifically, a prospective offeror must be duly authorized to operate and conduct business in Japan and must fully comply with all laws, decrees, lab or standards, and regulations of Japan during the performanc e of the resulting contracts. DESCRIPTION: In 1993, the Public Works Department Okinawa (PWDO), Environmental Division conducted a Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB) survey to locate all existing transformers throughout CFAO installations and determine the p resence of PCB. Approximately 100 transformers were identified by the survey. The work includes four phases: 1) Research and review of existing information and data on transformers; 2) Intensive survey (pedestrian) to identify all transformers and collec t data required in as shown in Attachments (1) through (5); 3) Collect samples of transformer oil to determine presence of PCB; and 4) and reporting of all transformers discovered. The solicitation (Request for Quotation) W912HV-08-T-0002 will be issued and made available on or before 10 December 2007 with the due date of 21 December 2007 at 1400 hours, (2:00pm) Japan Standard Time to Contracting Division, Procurement Branch, Attn: Perl Cadawan. Information regarding specifications will be made available through the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) web page at http://www.fedteds.gov. FedTeDS is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition- related information for all federal agencies. Prospective offeror must first be register ed with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) which is required by Federal Regulations (See FAR 52.204-7004) to be awarded this project and payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Registration requires an applicant to have a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet.
