- Description
- The US Army Contracting Agency, Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE) at the Pentagon, on behalf of Army Human Resource Command (AHRC), intends to procure support services for the Casualty and Mortuary Affair Operations Center (CMAOC). The Nor th American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541990. This is a Full and Open requirement. The Government anticipates award of an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract with a twelve month base period and two (2) twelve month option periods. The period of performance for the base period is anticipated to be 01 Mar 2008 29 Feb 2009. The place of performance will be at CMAOC, Alexandria, VA; JPED, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD; Dover Port Mortuary, Dover, DE (DPM), to incl ude the Joint Personal Effects Depot (JPED) relocation to Dover, DE (FY09), and CMAOC relocation to Fort Knox, KY (FY09/10); liaison at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), Washington, D.C., and the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC), Bethesda, MD. Contractor personnel will require a current secret clearance. The Contractor shall provide casualty support services to assist Army families in an emotionally stressful time of bereavement and to ensure that all cases are handled properly and with the utmost honor and dignity and that the surviving family members receive the full benefit of available services. The CMAOC ensures that; (1) Casualty notification is coordinated in a timely, professional, and dignifi ed manner; (2) Casualty information to the Next of Kin (NOK) is delivered in a timely and accurate manner; (3) Casualty assistance is provided immediately after death, or once it has been determined that an individual is reported as Duty Status Whereabouts Unknown, to the Primary Next of Kin (PNOK) in a timely, professional, and dignified manner; (4) Personal Effects are returned to the Person Eligible to Receive Effects (PERE) in a timely and accurate man ner; (5) Training and support is provided to casualty and mortuary affairs personnel using the Defense Casualty Information Processing System (DCIPS); and (6) Casualty support in provided at DPM of WRAMC of NNMC in a timely, profession al, and dignified manner. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 21 December 2007.
