Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to acquire, on an other than full and open competitive basis from the Boeing Company, life cycle support services for the F/A-18 series aircraft in support of the Commander, Naval Reserve Force Command (CNRFC). Services will include all levels of aircraft maintenance including: depot level maintenance; emergency repair; aircraft modification; engineering; logistics; program management support; technical advisor services and associated material and services as may be required to support the continued safe, reliable and available operation of the aircraft cited. The procurement is being processed through other than full and open competition pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with the Boeing Company since they are the only known provider of these services at this time. No property or equipment will be provided by the Government to perform the support services. Services are anticipated to be provided for a base period of twelve (12) months with two (2) twelve-month option periods. An Indefinite Delivery, Requirements type contract with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time & Material (T&M) Contract Line Items will be awarded as a result. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based on the responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this notice. The applicable NAICS and size standard are 541330 and $25MIL respectively. Numbered Notes #22 and #26 apply.
